Christmas Update

We just wanted to wish all of our blogreaders (thats you) a Merry Christmas!

And now for the all important countdown... we leave in 15 more sleeps!

As a brief update of our team's current status and preparations. The three of us had our CBM Missions prep days on the 19th and 20th which were a great time for both personal growth and for team bonding. We received our plane tickets, and we now are flying out on Tuesday the 8th (that's one day later than originally planned, but we are still on track). With regards to personal funding 2 of the us have fully raised our amounts, Tarryn still has a little ways to go but the Lord will provide. Thank you all for you financial and prayer support which has made fund-raising go so smoothly!

Have a blessed and safe Christmas season!

Our first post...

Hello blogreaders,
This is our first official post, we will be posting weekly to keep you all up to date on our progress... here's what we've got for you so far:

While in South America, we will be working alongside career missionaries who will help us to sharpen our overseas missions skills. Due to the overseas missional nature of this trip, all funds needed for the transportation and ministry will need to be raised personally. The total amount that each of us needs to raise for the semester abroad is $4500 (not including the cost of tuition), and we would be honoured if you would partner with us in financially making this trip possible.

We also would be grateful if you would support our ROUTE team through your prayers. We would ask that you be in prayer for all aspects of this trip, including safe travel, health and safety while in Bolivia and also that we would be an effective team that makes difference. We would also ask that you remember Bolivia and the long-term missionaries who minister there on a daily basis as representatives of Jesus Christ.
